Planned Technical | Cave Courses Schedule

Dear friends!

Spots are available for the IANTD/TDI/IDF Technical Cave Courses in Mexico’s Playa del Carmen-Tulum area. This fantastic location offers warm, clear water, comfortable training conditions, and various cave and ocean geology. On each training day, we will explore a new cave or dive site.

Cave and Technical diving is primarily a team task, and if you don’t have a buddy for cave or technical training, the scheduled Technical & Cave Courses offer a unique opportunity to learn in a group. We will work through group scenarios in practice and learn not only to be excellent divers but also to work confidently in a team in an overhead environment.

You can apply for any or all of these courses individually or with your group and save the group price of just $298 per person for one day of classes (a 14% discount off the individual price of $348).

Group rate for 2 or more students staying at the same hotel; for a single student, the rate is 50 USD per day higher. An additional day is charged at the same per-day rate as the course.

This 10-day Technical Cave and Advanced Cave Multistage training block included experience dives, 1,687 minutes underwater, 15 hours of classroom lectures, and 16 hours of land-drill exercises.
From Cavern and Intro to Cave to more advanced penetrations, the progression is not about collecting certifications.
It is about building real competence.
Advanced navigation.
Longer penetrations.
Stage and decompression procedures.
Problem solving under load.
Team awareness.

Having fun on Technical DPV Course
3 days, 6 dives, more than 360 minutes underwater.
The course is designed to introduce divers to the skills and knowledge required to safely use Underwater Propulsion Vehicles (DPV) in open water environments.
Being a diver means exploring new underwater territories, and with an underwater scooter (Diver Propulsion Vehicle – DPV), the exploration range can expand even further. Riding a scooter is fun and allows divers to cover more distance with less effort, even carrying extra gear.
Who is it for?
This course is essential for anyone interested in using one of the most fun and efficient tools available to divers: a DPV. This tool allows divers to cover bigger distances or carry more equipment with reduced effort. It also paves the way for the Advanced Cave DPV course, advanced technical cave diving training, underwater projects, and exploration diving.
What will I learn?
Course outcomes include, but are not limited to: basic principles of DPV diving, dive planning, teamwork while using a DPV, environmental and conservation awareness, stress management, navigation, standard and emergency procedures, DPV maintenance and troubleshooting, and the potential hazards of diving with a DPV.

Alexander lives and teaches year-round in Playa del Carmen, in the Riviera Maya, home to nine of the ten largest underwater cave systems in the world. He trained every cave and technical instructor on the Cave Ha team.

Before dedicating himself to diving, Alexander spent many years running large-scale technical and broadcast operations, including for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. That background is why the logistics behind every course here simply work.
