Cenotes of the Riviera Maya
The cenotes of the Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, open into nine of the ten largest underwater cave systems in the world. This catalog covers the cenotes by area, and each cenote has its own page. On the Riviera Maya caves map you can see which cenotes are open to Open Water divers with a guide and which are for cave divers only. The rules are published by CREER, the regional cave diving committee of Quintana Roo (Comité Regional de Espeleobuceo, Ecología y Regulación). We link them here and do not copy them.
